FROM budding basketballers to Knights of the National League – boys and girls from across Camden and Islington are being invited to sign up and take to the court for a series of new training sessions.

Camden Knights are hosting weekly sessions at William Ellis Secondary School in Highgate and Haverstock School in Chalk Farm as they look to strengthen their squads that play in the Community Basketball League.

Coach Max Gvozdenovic said: “We’re inviting boys and girls aged 11 to 18 years old to join in the fun and come along to our training sessions.

“We welcome players of all abilities, from beginners to basketballers who already play in a national league.

“Every week we’re holding the sessions to help youngsters develop their skills, their shooting, their ball-handling and their fitness.

“There’s also the chance to put that practice into action as, on Sunday’s, we take part in competitive games in the Community Basketball League.

“We’re training for another two weeks before our winter break, and then we’re back in early January to start again.

“So there is still plenty of time, and opportunities, to get involved in the action.”

Anyone interested in finding out about the times and dates of the ongoing training sessions can email Max on: camdenknightsbasketballclub@gmail.com or visit the club’s Facebook page for further information.
